The Historical place Villa Borghese was summer and party residence of the Nobel Borghese Family. The main building of the Villa Borghese Gallery, (or it was originally known as Borghese Mansion) was custom-made by Cardinal Scipione Borghese to Flaminio Ponzio and Vasanzio and was constructed between 1613 and 1614. it was enlarged in 1800 by Giovanni Canina.
Contained in a spectacular villa just outside the Porta Pinciana, the collection has been defined as the “Queen of all Private Art Collections.” This is not only one of the most interesting, charming, elegant and compact art museums in Rome but considered as the whole world.
